Hyderabad: Union Labour Minister, Bandaru Dattatreya said here on Monday that the Centre will fund the employment generation schemes for poverty alleviation and education for the minorities in Telangana state.A�

The Union Minister assured that he would take up these matters with Muqtar Abbas Naqvi, Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs, for a grant of approximately Rs 100 crores for the employment generation scheme for minorities in Telangana.A�He held a review meetingA�with Deputy Chief MinisterA�Mahmood AliA�and Home and Labour Minister of Telangana Nayini Narsimha Reddy and discussed the programme with them at Dilkusha Guest House in Hyderabad on Monday.

DattatreyaA�discussed the welfare and development of minorities in the State of Telangana especially the grants to the a�?Seekho Aur Kamaoa�?, employment generation schemes, funds to micro finance system, especially in the areas of cottage industries, small scale sector, particularly for the benefit of minority women.A�The aspect of advancing loans to the minorities was also discussed. The meeting was in the interest of alleviation of poverty, improvement of health, education and employment for minorities.A�

When Dattatreya sought land from Telangana Government for 100 bedA�ESICA�HospitalA�at Goshamahal and land for the 300 bed hospital between Erragadda and Borabanda,A�Narsimha Reddy said that he will take up the matter with Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.A�He also brought to the notice of the Union Minister on the completion of a block inA�NacharamA�ESIA�StateA�HospitalA�for which the Union Minister assured positively.A�

Consequent to the enhancement of eligibility limit for ESIC benefits from Rs 15,000 to Rs 21,000 by the Centre, Dattatreya stated that about 35 lakh new beneficiaries would come under the ESIC coverage.A� Under this coverage, he sought the active role ofA�TelanganaA�StateA�in maximum enrolment of workers.A� He also requested Narsimha Reddy to focus on implementation of Board of Construction and Other Workers Act and extend its provision to the construction and other workers inA�TelanganaA�State.A�

Meet with RBI, FMs today

Dattatreya said that he will hold a review meeting on cash flow inA�TeluguA�speakingA�state, digital literacy on cashless transactions, steps need to be taken to mitigate the hardship of the public etc. with Reserve Bank ofA�IndiaA�and other bank officials in the premises of RBI, HyderabadA�on December 13.A� He invited Ministers of Telangana & Andhra PradeshA�Mahmood Ali, Nayini Narsimha Reddy, Etela Rajender, Kinjarapu Atchan Naidu along with Chief Secretaries and officials.

Dattatraya expressing his concern on the havoc created by a�?Vaardha Cyclonea�? in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu stated that he is closing the situation and would take up the matters of relief with Centre.A� He assured the Centrea��s help to the affected people especially to the labourers in the affected states. –NSS
