Roja Suspension: House decision is final, says panel
Amaravati: The Privileges Committee had left the decision to the House over continuation of suspension on Roja. The panel, on Thursday, submitted a 62-page report on Nagari MLA to Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao. The committee strongly felt that the suspension should be extended for one more year. The committee confirmed that the YSRC MLA did not mention anywhere about the unconditional apology. However, the government agreed to put an end to the suspension issue if the Nagari MLA tenders unconditional apology to the Speaker and Payakaraopeta TD MLA Vangalapudi Anitha on the floor of the House.
Roja’s suspension should have been lifted during the last Assembly sessions if it functioned normally. It seems AP Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu also gave nod to the proposal to lift the suspension. But, to Roja is unfortunate and the Assembly did not function normally. However, her comments later reflected on the issue once again with the TD legislators strongly appealed to extend suspension for one more year.
If the suspension is extended, his party will move the court on the issue once again, says YSRC President Jagan.
