Rich Tributes Paid to Chakravarti Rajagopalachari

Hyderabad: Rich tributes were paid to Chakravarti Rajagopalachari, the last Governor-General of India, former Governor of West Bengal, former Union Minister for Home Affairs and former Chief Minister of Madras state, on his death anniversary on Sunday. 

Lt. Gen (Retd) V Subramanian garlanded the Rajaji’s Statue located in the premises of Rajajai International Institute for Public Affairs and Administration, Bolarum. Floral tributes were offered by Advisory Committee Member Y Srinivasa Rao, Scientist, DRDO, along with Prof A Narasimha Rao, Honorary Director of the Institute, E Sadashiva Reddy, Director, and Ramesh, International Athletic Coach and Dronacharya Awardee along with a host of other dignitaries.

Later, Rajaji’s Library and Cultural Centre was inaugurated in the premises of the Institute by Y Srinivasa Rao, Scientist, RCI, DRDO.

The Centre will have a Library, Reading Room, Cultural Centre, Yoga Training Centre, Sport Coaching Centre etc. It will also conduct regular musical concerts giving opportunity to young artists. Being developed as Open Space Cultural Centre, it will provide an opportunity to organisations, individuals to hold programmes to  promote art, culture, literature etc.

The membership for the Rajaji’s Library and Cultural Centre is open to the public and they can contact RIIPAA for further details.
