RGV Lauds KCR For Treating Drug Users As Victims

The controversial director appreciates Telangana Chief Minister for understanding the plight of drug users.

Hyderabad: Noted director Ram Gopal Varma, who has been critical about SIT’s interrogation of film celebrities in the drugs case, lauded Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao on Saturday.

“KCR is an awesome and fantastically beautiful leader for rightly understanding that drug users are just nothing but victims, which the (SIT) team seemed to be seemingly blind about understanding. I think they need his (KCR’s) extraordinary vision to be a right enough team,” RGV commented on his Facebook wall.

On actress Charmy, who was interrogated earlier, the controversial director said, “As she’s coming out after interrogation, Charmy’s 24 frames normal shots looked much more powerful than the super high-speed slow motion shots of Akun Sabharwal… Charmy looked truly genuine and from the heart truthful, and that shows in her pure smile. Charmy coming out after SIT interrogation is looking more dynamic than Jhansi Lakshmi Bai,” he felt.

Ravi Teja’s Driver Evades Answering Questions In Drugs Case

Meanwhile, Srinivasa Rao, driver of actor Ravi Teja, who was interrogated by the SIT on Saturday, was found to be evasive in answering several of the questions posed to him by the sleuths inquiring into the infamous drugs case. The driver’s interrogation concluded after about 4 hours of intense grilling.

Officials suspect that it was Srinivasa Rao who supplied drugs to Ravi Teja and his brother Bharat after procuring them from Jishan, one of the main accused.

The driver was summoned after his number was found in the call list of Jishan and Calvin. He was questioned about his relationship with Jishan and Calvin, the main accused in the case.

On Friday, Ravi Teja was grilled by SIT officials for over nine hours before he could leave for the day. Sources said Teja told them that he does not do drugs. He denied any knowledge of Calvin, Jishan or anyone else who supplied drugs.

The actor refused to provide samples of his blood, nails or hair, SIT officials disclosed.

SIT will interrogate actor Tanish on Monday and Nandu on Tuesday. The first phase of SIT inquiry is expected to conclude on August 2. There are chances that some more actors might be summoned.
