Revanth Stopped At Assembly Gate, Kishan Reddy Shouts At Police
Hyderabad: Telangana TDP MLA Revanth Reddy had found a spirited supporter in Kishan Reddy, leader of the BJP legislature party, when he was stopped by the police at the main entrance of Assembly gate on Thursday morning. On seeing Revanth being stopped, Kishan Reddy shouted at the police officials saying, “This is not the way to behave with a legislator. He is not a criminal. You cannot prevent him from entering Assembly premises.”
It may be recalled that Speaker S Madhusudana Chary had suspended Revanth Reddy and Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, another TDP MLA, till the end of the Budget session for their alleged improper behaviour during Governor’s address on the first day of the Budget session. In the next day of suspension, Revanth Reddy and Veeraiah stood in hot Sun till the day’s proceedings were over.
On being reprimanded by the BJP leader, the police said that they were instructed by the chief marshal not to allow Revanth Reddy into the premises. Then, Revanth Reddy demanded to know if they have any written orders. He shouted that Assembly is not the sole property of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. He expressed his anguish at being prevented from entering the Assembly compound.
