Revanth Reddy gets 12-hour interim bail
HYDERABAD: TheAACB Court has granted an interim bail to TDP MLA A. Revanth Reddy here on Wednesday,Abut it refused to grant full pledged bail. The Court granted 12 hours bail on theAplea of Ravanth Reddyas Counsel. It may be recalled that on Thursday, Revanth Reddyas daughter Naimisha Reddyas engagement was scheduled.
Earlier, Revanth Reddyas lawyers argued for full pledged bail alleging that the case against Revanth Reddy was with bad motive and the opponents intentionally trapped himAin the case with political conspiracy. They lawyers argued that the opponents inspired to destroy Revanth Reddy and his political party and stated that Revanth Reddy has no link with the case.
In response to Revanthas Counsel Argument, ACB urged the Court not to grant full pledged bail. a?The Case will be changed if given full pledged baila?, ACB stated. At this stage, Revanthas Counsel urged the Court to grant interim bail. Responding to Counselas plea, ACB Court granted conditional interim bail from Thursday morning 6 AM to evening 6PM. The Court made it clear that during bail time Revanth Reddy shouldAnot meet theAmedia people and political leaders.
Lawyer Siddhartha Lotha argued on behalf of Revanth Reddy and said that asking for vote was not a crime in a democratic country and alleged theAACB has not recordedAthe complainants version. He wondered over raid of Revanth Reddyas house after nine days of arrest. Lotha brought several cases to the notice of Court to support his arguments.
ACB special lawyer Surender Rao argued that there is a chance that the evidences will be changed if Revanth was given bail and said that ACB has no objection if one day bail was granted. (NSS)
