Revanth Reddy fires back at TRS
- Telangana not willing to buy power from AP
- Less consumption is the reason for less power cuts
- TRS neglected farmers
HYDERABAD: Telangana TDP MLA Revanth Reddy today alleged that the TRS government was totally neglecting farmers who resorted to suicides under unbearable conditions.
Speaking to the media at NTR trust bhavan on Tuesday, the TDP leader said power cuts have come down in Telangana because of less power consumption and not due to efficiency of Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao.
Revanth Reddy lamented that Rao has been leveling allegations that Andhra Pradesh was not supplying power to his State. But the fact is that the Telangana government has written a letter to AP government stating that it is not willing to purchase power from Krishnapatnam plant, he said.
Alleging that KCR was not fulfilling his election-eve promises, the Revanth Reddy said the former was feeling insecure due to rising popularity of TDP, and the claim of TRS leaders that 10-lakh people turned up at Sunday’s TRS Foundation Day celebrations was totally false.
Claiming that TDP meeting at Mahbubnagar was a grand success, Revanth Reddy said the comment of KCR against the TDP meeting was an affront to people of Mahbubnagar district. He wanted to know whether the TRS government had time to remember sacrifices of 1,200 persons for the cause of Telangana State. (NSS)
