Revanth Reddy fires another salvo at KCR
HYDERABAD: Telangana TDP leader Revanth Reddy was back to his old game of baiting Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday.
Talking to mediapersons, the TDP leader wondered when KCR was “Jathi Pitha” (father of Telangana) in the view of renowned pontiff China Jeeyar Swamy, what about freedom fighter late Konda Lakshman Bapuji and Sreekantha Chary, who sacrificed his life for the sake of separate Telangana State.
The TDP’s stormy petrel urged the pontiff to withdraw the title given to KCR immediately. He also alleged that the Chief Minister called his cabinet meeting on Thursday only to share posts and to impose fresh taxes on the people of Telangana. He also slammed KCR for scrapping the tax exemption on cloth business.
Mr. Revanth Reddy said he would raise his voice in the Assembly over suicides of farmers, famine-like conditions, drinking and irrigation water crises. Suggesting that the Governor intervene and order disqualification of defectors, the TDP leader announced that they would stage protest during the Governor’s address to the legislature. (NSS)
