Hyderabad: Sahari, daughter of Kiran and Sailaja Kiran, and granddaughter of Eenadu Group Chairman Cherukuri Ramoji Rao, is all set to marry this summer. She is engaged to an young man from the family of a pharmaceutical industrialist in Hyderabad. The engagement took place on Friday at a grand function at Ramoji Film City. Only family members, close relatives and friends were invited.
The bridegroom’s pharmacy industry is at Genome valley at the outskirts of the city.
Kiran and Sailaja have two more daughters, Bruhati and Divija. Safari, the eldest daughter, studied communications and she is understood to have spent some time in the US studying media affairs. She is supposed to take over the media group from her father in future.
There were no celebrations at Ramoji Film City even when Ramoji Rao was awarded Padma Vibhushan in recognition of his services to society. Ramoji had lost his second son Suman a few years ago. Suman who did MS in journalism at Columbia University in the US would have taken over Eenadu Group had he not succumbed to cancer. A crestfallen Ramoji took several months to get over the grief. He had some health issues and had to join Yasoda hospital for a few days when he fell down in bathroom. He was taking rest at Chikoti Garden house at Begumpet. He moved to the Film City a couple of weeks ago. The brides father Kiran is Managing Director of Eenadu Group where as her mother Sailaja is MD of Margadarsi Company
