Ramanna to head for Delhi for funds
Hyderabad: Minister for BC Welfare, Forest, Environment and Science and Technology Jogu Ramanna today directed the officials concerned to get ready with plans to get Central Government funds under various schemes, programmes and heads. As per Chief Minister K Chandraeskhar Rao directive, the minister held a high level review meeting with officials of the departments and asked them to prepare plan to get Central funds on time for state development. A delegation will soon go to Delhi to meet the Central ministers to get funds he said.
The meeting assumes significance as the Centre is allotting funds to its departments from where the states have to get them under various schemes. KCR asked the ministers to study the Central budget thoroughly which is expected to give impetus to agriculture sector and others and to prepare proposals for the state budget for 2017-18 fiscal. The state delegation is to make it to the Centre get funds from various schemes, programs of development. The minister asked the officials to see that we can get more funds this year than the previous financial year. Ramanna is to get funds from the Centre for the departments he is heading including forest, environment, science and technology, BC welfare and others. Ramanna instructed the officials to get more funds from the Centre through the schemes including National Mission for Green India, Integrated Development of Wildlife Habitats, Centrally sponsored schemes and other departments.
