Rajinikanth Will Announce New Party In Two Weeks, Claims Gandheya Makkal Iyakkam President
Chennai: Superstar Rajinikanth would launch his new party in two weeks, said Gandheya Makkal Iyakkam President Tamilaruvi Manian on Wednesday.
In an interview to a Tamil daily, he said that he met superstar Rajinikanth in his residence two, or three times, recently. He claimed that he discussed with him for more than three hours and had a comprehensive discussion over state political situation.
Manian further said that Rajinikanth has unlimited love for the people of the state and that he wanted to do something that benefits Tamilians who gave him life. Manian told that Rajini recalled his arrival at Chennai four decades ago and the people who encouraged him, and that he expressed gratitude to them, Manian said.
Manian also claimed that the star told him that he would enter definitely politics, and that he wanted to enter politics for the welfare of people.
“I don’t want to step into politics for the sake of money. I wish to come into politics to serve people,” Rajinikanth said many times in public. Manian said the star reiterated the same thing to him.
Manian said that Rajini told him many times that leaders like Kamaraj, Annadurai had served people selflessly and claimed that he wanted to walk in their path. He expressed confidence that Rajini would start a new party in two weeks.
