Adilabad, January 27: Telangana ministers Tummala Nageshwar Rao, Indrakaran Reddy and Jogu Ramanna on Tuesday declared open the railway bridge constructed at Kagaznagar in the district. Earlier, they launched 34 police vehicles at Armed Reserve headquarters, which are meant for Kagaznagar, Bellampalli and Mancherial divisions.
Speaking on the occasion, the ministers asked the police to offer people-friendly services with total discipline and responsibility. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is according top priority to law and order and to provide total protection to the people in the State with adequate monetary support and cooperation, they said. The police must be cautious and offer timely help to the people, they added.
They also said the State government has sanctioned Rs 1,300 crore for development of the roads in Adilabad district. In the meanwhile, the ministers faced protests by workers of Kagaznagar Paper Mill, which remained closed for some time. The workers brought their plight to the notice of the ministers after closure of the paper mill. They also urged that the government provide them employment opportunities by restarting the paper mill. The ministers assured that they would discuss the issue at government level and try to resolve their long pending issues.
