Rahul Says Unity Is Strength To Fight Modi

Attacking the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his untruthful speeches, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi called upon the opposition parties to unite to prevent Modi from occupying centre stage.

New Delhi: Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi attacked Narendra Modi of his untruthful speeches and called for opposition unity on Thursday.

Speaking in Delhi Constitution Club during JD(U) leader Sharad Yadav’s ‘Sabha virasat bachao sammelan,’ he criticized that while Modi wanted to create a Swachh Bharat, people wanted ‘sach Bharat.’

“Jahan bhi jaate hain, kuch na khuch jhooth Modi ji bol jaate hain. Agar hum mil ke lade, ye dikhai nahi denge (He lies wherever he goes and speaks. If we fight together, he will not be seen anywhere), he said.

Targeting RSS, he alleged that it was trying to infiltrate all organizations.  “One says this country is mine, other say I belong to the country. That’s the difference between the RSS and us,” he said.

Taking a dig at the government’s flagship programme “Make in India,” he said all the products that are around and available in the country were made in China.

“PM Narendra Modi’s ‘Make in India’ has failed. The unemployment rate is the highest it has been in the last eight years. The BJP has also not kept its promise of bringing back black money. They are helping corporate but not farmers,” Rahul said.

The three-day convention is being attended by former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and Sitaram Yechury.
