Rahul Gandhi to visit Telangana and stay a night at Osmania

HYDERABAD: AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi is expected to take up a “Rythu Bharosa Yatra” in Telangana in second week of May. Besides wooing the farmers in distress, Rahul had reportedly accepted to meet with students at Osmania University. According to TSPCC, Rahul will interact with the students and professors in a program called ‘face to face’. It is also learnt that Rahul Gandhi will stay a night in the university.
It is being stated that Rahul Gandhi will reprimand the state government for its failure to prevent farmers’ suicides in the state. He may touch upon the issue of about 700 farmers for ending their lives in the state after TRS came to power. During his yatra, Gandhi is planned to woo the farmers in the state that the congress would fight with the government for their cause.
Telangana Congress leadership is making arrangements for a trip in Medak, the home district of chief minister Chandrasekhar Rao, and plan to interact with the farmers, according to the information. Gandhi’s visit is to boost the ailing Congress in the state, which was accorded by the AICC during UPA Regime. (NSS)
