PMG reviews projects in TS
Hyderabad: The project monitoring group meeting held at the secretariat on Friday reviewed the progress of a host of ongoing railway, national highway, coalmine and other infrastructure projects in Telangana State.
The meeting presided over by Chief Secretary Dr K Pradeep Chandra also reviewed the progress of digitalization of State-level clearances. Shubha Kumar, Joint Secretary in Prime Minister’s Office (PMG) and Som Dutt Sharma, Director, attended the meeting. Principal Secretary Industries and Commerce Arvind Kumar presented the projects and outlined the issues for discussion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Secretary informed the Central officials that Telangana State has achieved more than 90% progress in digitization of State level clearances. He said the newest State of Telangana is very progressive and wants to be a role model for the rest of the country.
Shubha Kumar said the Centre was ready to coordinate with the State government and help resolve the issues. The meeting took stock of various Inter-departmental issues, action taken report on e-Pragati and State-level clearances. Issues pertaining to Hyderabad Metro Rail, Karimnagar Iron Ore Benefication Project, Coal Projects of Singareni Collieries, Muneerabad-Mahbubabad new railway line, Mallavaram-Bhilwara pipeline and rehabilitation with regard to National Highways were discussed at the meeting.
Principal Secretary Environment & Forests B.R. Meena, Managing Director Hyderabad Metro Rail NVS Reddy, Singareni Collieries MD Sridhar and other officials were present.
