Plea to widen Secunderabad artery
Hyderabad: Ex-Servicemen’s Welfare Association has called for widening the road from Secunderabad Parade Grounds to Hakimpet Airport to TSRTC depot bus station, as the present one has become highly congested.
Speaking to the media at NSS News Centre here on Sunday, Association president MP Narendra and office-bearer Kishore Bhalla said that the Secunderabad Parade Grounds to TSRTC bus station leads to Shamirpet, Siddipet, Karimnagar, Gajwel, Basara, Yadadri, Vamulawada temples, which are famous pilgrimage centres. The roads at Secunderabad Club, Karkhana, Trimulgherry, Bowenpally, Lothukunta, Rashtrapathi Nilayam have become congested due to heavy vehicular traffic. The people are suffering, and even the ambulance movement is not free and many road accidents are taking place.
The association said that there is lot of open space at Jubilee Station; open ground is also available at the KV School area and Vikrampuri side; open space is available on either side of defence land from Karkhana Road to Trimulgherry, and at other places.
The association regretted that no public representative is taking interest in the matter, while the common people are suffering a lot. -NSS
