Peace Returns To Bengaluru
Bengaluru: peace has returned to India’s IT capital after two days of arson and violence. The educational institutions, however, remained closed for the third consecutive day.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to the people of both the States to maintain peace and tranquillity. He said issues should be resolved amicably through talks and violence would not solve problems. Earlier, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah criticized Modi for not intervening and help the State government in bringing back normality to the city. He presided over the Cabinet meeting which reviewed the situation in Bengaluru, Mysuru and Mandya. He said seven more RAF companies have been airlifted to the city.
The curfew is still in force in many parts of the city.
