Pawan Kalyan To Be Jeevandan Brand Ambassador

Jeevandan seeks voluntary donation of organs from people who breathe their last for helping those in critical need of them.

Vijayawada: Actor and Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan will be the Brand Ambassador of Andhra Pradesh Government for the Jeevandan programme, which promotes organ donation post demise of people.

AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu made this proposal to Pawan Kalyan on Monday when the latter met the CM to discuss the Uddanam kidney diseases issue, along with a delegation from the Harvard University.

The actor readily accepted the Chief Minister’s proposal.

Speaking to media later, Pawan Kalyan thanked Chandrababu Naidu for responding to his appeal for helping Uddanam victims. Uddanam is the region in Srikakulam district, where at least one person from every family is afflicted with one kidney disease or the other.

It is learnt that the actor also discussed with the Chief Minister compensation for farmers who have lost their lands in implementation of projects related to Polavaram and Amaravati capital city.

Meanwhile, Principal Secretary of Medical and Health Department, Poonam Malakondaiah, has given a presentation on steps taken by the government after the meeting between Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan.
