Pak Boat Seized At Gujarat Coast

Ahmedabad: A suspicious boat has been identified in the coastal area of Gujarat’s Porbandar. In the middle of India-Pakistan strained relations, a suspicious Pakistani boat has been identified. Around nine fishermen have been arrested and the boat was seized.

Indian security agencies were vigilant as they were expecting a threat from Pakistan. Coastal guards could find this suspicious boat as they were inspecting along the Gujarat sea coast. The boat has been seized at around 10:15 am on Sunday and the crew members were escorted to Porbandar for further investigation.

The Wing Commander Abhishek Matiman said, “In the prevailing security scenario, wherein enhanced vigilance with deployment of ships and aircraft by the Indian Coast Guard is being exercised off the Gujarat coast, the Indian Coast Guard ship Samudra Pavak detained a Pakistani boat with nine crew members at around 10:15 am today.”

Appearance of Pakistani boat in the Gujarat’s sea shore raises many questions especially after the high alert has been announced across the land and sea borders of Pakistan after Indian army’s surgical strike.
