OPS Declares That Merger Would Take Place In A Day Or Two
Chennai: The much-awaited merger of two rival factions of AIADMK might become a reality in a day or two with O Panneerselvam assuring that there is no difference of opinion and a concrete decision will be taken in a day or two. The merger that was expected earlier, would happen soon.
Claiming that the merger talks were going on smoothly, OPS said that the final call would be taken soon. He asserted that they would carry forward the legacy of MGR and Amma.
The third faction belonging to TTV Dinakaran is not too happy with them, as they are ignored in the whole process. A TTV’s supporter C R Saraswathi attacked Palaniswami and OPS camps for avoiding them.
“I can’t understand why OPS and EPS want to avoid us. All these days Chinnamma was with them. I don’t know why they want to avoid us.”
“What we want is taking care of the party, while our secretary and deputy secretary want us to be united, they want us to be separated. We only wish that all of us unite, and even they should think about it,” said Saraswathi.
Saraswathi also claimed that the cadres want Dinakaran to lead the AIADMK. She said that Dinakaran met Chinnamma on Friday and that they are waiting for her response.
Saraswathi said that they were hoping to get a good verdict as the review petition comes up in the court. She also claimed that Chinnamma is innocent and party wants her to come back.
“We want Chinnamma to come back as she knows our Amma closely,” she said.
Saraswathi blamed the social media for creating many wrong impressions, and thanked the CM for the inquiry commission.
“We are waiting what the commission would find out, and when the truth comes out, everybody will know what and who Chinnamma is,” Saraswathi added.
