One-day auto strike from Sunday midnight

  • Protest against demonetization

Hyderabad:A�Auto rickshaws in the twin cities ofA�HyderabadA�and Secunderabad would go off the road from November 27 midnight in response to a nation-wide bandh call given by the opposition parties in protest against demonetization of big currency notes and to demand measures to save the common man from its bad effects.

Speaking to media persons here on Saturday, JAC leader Mohd. Amanullah Khan said that some 80 cash-starved persons already died due to demonetization and questioned the Prime Minister as how many more lives he wants to take away by his sadistic attitude. Will the Prime Minister compensate the day-to-day loss being suffered by poor as a result of his demonetization decision or will he bring back the lives of those who died while standing in serpentine queues to exchange their old Rs 500 and 1000 notes? he asked.A�

Amanullah Khan also questioned the Prime Minister as to what the common man has got to do with black money and why he should be made a scapegoat for the sins of others.A� He also criticized those supporting Modi and warned they would pay a heavy price. He appealed to the auto drivers in the twin cities to participate in the proposed November 28 one-day auto bandh and make it a total success.
