Odisha police urge RK to surrender for treatment
Malkangiri: Odisha Police urged the Maoist top leader Ramakrishna alias RK to surrender before the police and avail adequate treatment as he received grievous injuries during the alleged encounter that took place on October 24 in which 34 Maoists died.
Speaking to the media here on Friday, Malkangiri SP Mitrabhanu Mahapatra said the Odisha Government was ready to provide treatment to RK. He said RK received grievous injuries to his legs in an encounter and asked RK to surrender before the police and avail needful surgery. He said it is learnt that RK was availing treatment in a medical camp somewhere on Odisha-Andhra border.
It is further learnt that the two states have already announced alert in all hospitals. The police of the two states were expecting that RK would join any hospital at any moment and if not RK would avail the required treatment in Odisha. It is learnt that RK was taking medicine for his injuries. Mahapatra said both RK and his son Munna were there on the spot where the encounter took place but RK escaped narrowly from the place.
