No politics in House
- Harish tells Vamshi
- Says TRS govt. favouring PSU power units
HYDERABAD: Reacting sharply to the allegations by Congress member Vamshichand Reddy that ministers are trying to protect their own posts and ignoring the plight of unemployed youth, Legislature Affairs Minister T Harish Rao, expressed serious objection to the former.
When the congress member alleged in the State Assembly that the government is not providing job security to the youth, Harish Rao rebutted it saying that Vamshi is resorting to political speech. This is not the place for political speech and the members can go out to do so, he suggested. The Government is just ready to take up recruitment drive by getting clarity of vacant posts, he said. Harish condemned Vamshi’s’ comments and asked the Congress member to speak directly and avoid combining other issues. To avoid loss to the youth, the TRS Government will get clarity on number of jobs and take up recruitment drive, he said.
He flayed that the Congress government gave works related to electricity production to private companies for ‘minting’ money. The ruling party is taking up power production on its own and gave the power production works to public sector units, he maintained. Through the PSUs, there is ample scope for providing thousands of jobs to the youth, he clarified. ‘Is it not true that the PSU power production units offer jobs to the eligible youth’ he asked. The TRS Government is committed to provide jobs to the eligible youth and unemployed, he said. The Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has promised to give relaxation in age to get jobs through examinations and the government is considering the issue very seriously, Harish informed the house.
