Naidu Should Seek CBI Probe if he is Clean: Botcha
HYDERABAD: Mounting a scathing attack on the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu NaiduAon the cash-for-vote issue, YSRCP leader and former Minister Botcha Satyanarayana, today,Asaid that Naidu should seek CBI probe into the matter, if he is really clean.
Speaking to the media at Lotus pond here, BotchaAquestioned how the people could live with dignity if the chief minister himself resorts to corrupt practices.A He said that Naidu has excelled late NTR in action.
Naidu was telling that his phone wasAbeing tapped.A HeAasked why Naidu never said that the tone in the tape released was not his.A He also said that the Chief Minister has not condemnedAthe Revanth Reddy affair.
Botcha said that in cases of corruption, a common man and a chief Minister are equal, and if necessary, their phones could be tapped.A Chief Ministers cannot have special protection in this matter, he added.
BotchaAsaid that the constitution has not given permission to any chief minister to indulge in corrupt practices.A He reminded that a minister in Delhi GovernmentAwas arrested on charges of fake certificate.A He questioned Chandrababu Naidu as to who has given him the right to create a rift between the people of the two states and the two parties.
Botcha also asked Naidu whether he hadAA fulfilled any of the promises made to the people during the one-year rule.
The former minister said that if Naidu hadAreally not committed any offence, he should fight legally; but he should not commit more mistakes to cover up his mistake, and thus bring down the reputation of the state. (NSS)
