Naidu owes explanation on water, power: KTR
HYDERABAD: Minister for Information Technology K Taraka Ramarao strongly criticised Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for his plan to tour Telangana.
Speaking to reporters here, KTR accused Mr. Naidu of ‘looting’ Telangana of its rightful share of water and power and still undertaking a tour of the State. Mr. Naidu, he said, should first provide the water and power to the State as stipulated in the AP Reorganisation Act. “If he has any affection fors Telugu people in the State, he should give our share of water and power”, he added.
Referring to Mr. Naidu’s visit to Warangal on Thursday, he said it would be treated as a tour by Chief Ministers of neighbouring Karnataka and Maharashtra. Despite bemoaning AP Government’s budget deficit, Mr. Naidu spent Rs 15 crore to refurbish his chambers in the Secretariat. He owed an explanation to the people of Telangana on these issues before taking up his tour.
“He is deliberately coming in the way of Telangana development and deceiving people”, he alleged. The people of the region are watching his nefarious designs” he said. The people would not remain quiet if he embarked on the tour without honoring the provisions of the Act, he said. (NSS)
