Naidu briefs California Governor on AP Bifurcation
Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in his meeting with Edmund Gerald Jerry Brown the Governor of California had familiarised him with the Indian political system and the role of the Telugu Desam Party in the national politics. He also briefed him about the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance’s ascent to power and its repeated victory in different States in the recent past.
Chandrababu Naidu spoke further about the unscientific bifurcation that caused a great loss to the people. However, he said that the State was steadily developing and the capital city is being built. He explained to Jerry Brown the efforts that his government had put in to build the State taking bifurcation as an advantage.
Naidu sought Jerry Brown’s help in collaborating in areas such as technology, industry and agriculture. The Chief Minister said that Andhra Pradesh would emerge as the gateway to Southeast Asia given its long coast line and the presence of deep water ports. The Chief Minister invited the Governor to visit Andhra Pradesh.
When the Chief Minister met Simon Segars, CEO of ARM Holdings, the latter apprised him about their activities and indicated that they are concentrating more on IOT. For his part, the Chief Minister explained how Andhra Pradesh is integrating technology in governance and taking welfare programmes to the people.
