Naidu should apologize, go to Vijayawada
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandraababu Naidu should leave Hyderabad and run his Government from Vijayawada by shifting there, if he cannot rule from Hyderabad, TRS MP from Nizamabad MP K Kavitha said here on Wednesday.
Talking to press persons here after taking membership of the TRS, she demanded an apology from Naidu for his statement insulting Telangana people by comparing Hyderabad to a foreign country. Ms. Kavitha quoted Mr. Naidu as saying that “ruling Andhra Pradesh from Hyderabad is like ruling from any other foreign country”.
She sought withdrawal of such comments as they hurt the sentiments of Telangana people. The TRS leader questioned Mr. Naidu’s ethic in claiming to have built a Hitech city and yet comparing it to a foreign country. Naidu should quit Hyderabad and go to Vijayawada if he did not wish to stay here, she said.
The TRS MP also criticized the Mr. Naidu for claiming that the Telugu Desam Party would come to power in both the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in 2019 general elections. “How can the AP Chief Minister say that the TDP will come to power in Telangana”, she asked.
Her comments came at a time when Mr. Naidu has announced plans to shift to the new capital of AP for smooth and easy governance as doing so from Hyderabad was not easy. He reportedly stated this in an interaction with officials when he emphasized the need for shifting immediately to Vijayawada and Guntur. (NSS)
