Nagarjuna and Amala go handloom way
Hyderabad: Noted Telugu actor Akkineni Nagarjuna and his wife Amala came in support of weavers and handloom workers by wearing handloom clothes on Sunday. Nagarjuna and Amala clad in handloom clothes tweeted that they are more comfortable and yet beautiful.
A photograph of the actor couple on the social media is going viral. While Nagarjuna was seen attractive wearing dark blue Kameej or Nehru shirt with enticing goggles, Amala was looking gorgeous in a grey saree with red border.
This was in response to IT Minister KT Rama Rao’s appeal to the people to wear handlooms to support handloom workers and the weavers community.
Wearing handloom clothes, last week KTR had appealed to politicians, officials and celebrities to wear handloom clothes. Thus some noted personalities are coming forward in support of the handloom industry. KTR spontaneously tweeted to Nagarjuna’s tweet saying thanks. Nagarjuna’s response will sure inspire many to follow suit, KTR stated. –NSS
