Mystery Behind Madhukar’s Death To Be Revealed Soon

While parents and relatives believe that it’s an honour killing, police tried to project it as a suicide

Peddapalli: Re postmortem on the body of Dalit youth Madhukar was performed on Monday. It was suspected that the death of  Madhukar belonging to Khanapur of Manthani Mandal was not a suicide but an honour killing.

As the family alleged that he was killed because of his love affair with a girl belonging to Venkatapur, suspicions increased. In this context, parents of the victim sought justice from the High Court. The doctors in accordance with the orders issued by the court performed postmortem in presence of his parents. Forensic experts from Osmania and Kakatiya University attended. The experts who performed panchanama for four hours said that the body was decomposed and they secured all the parts. They also disclosed that they would be submitting to the court in a week.

Madhukar’s body was found in the shrubs near Khanapur on 14 March. Next day after postmortem the body was buried near the village. However, the death of Madhukar remained a mystery and with the instructions from the high court, a postmortem was performed.

Murder Of Madhukar: Manthani Town flooded By Protesters, TRS MLA Blamed

Manthani(Peddapalli district): Etala Rajender, Telangana State Finance Minister, said he had instructed the police to thoroughly investigate the murder of Dalit youth Madhukar and get the post-mortem done once again to get at the truth. The Minister said the government would not spare anyone in this sensational murder case.

Meanwhile, Dali organisations protested by all means- dharna, Rasta Roko, human chain formation and March- against inaction on the part of the government on the brutal killing of Madhukar at Khanapur in Manthani Madal. Manthani town was full of tension throughout Sunday reverberating with slogans demanding the arrest of those who are responsible for the heinous crime. The protesters alleged that the police officials are misleading the people with wrong information at the behest of the local TRS MLA Putta Madhu. The agitators set the posters of the legislator and flags and festoons of the party on fire. They demanded the resignation of Madhu. Thousands of Dalit activists from Hyderabad and north Telangana descended on Manthani and participated in protest rally at Ambedkar crossroads.
