Mudragada Pats KCR On Enhancing Reservations
Hyderabad: While the BJP is protesting against the enhancement of reservations for minorities and STs, the Telangana Chief Minister’s decision was applauded by Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham. Praising KCR for fulfilling his election promise, Mudragada criticised AP Chief Minister Naidu for not doing so. He wrote an open letter to the Telangana CM expressing his happiness.
Greeting the Telangana Chief Minister KCR, Mudragada praised him for fulfilling all the promises in a short time he made to the people of Telangana during elections. He lauded KCR that he implemented what he promised without anyone resorting to dharnas and protests. “You alone in the country proved that election manifesto is not a waste paper as observed by the apex court judge,” he said. Enhancing the percentage of reservations for STs, appointing two commissions to give BC reservations to Muslims, tabling the report in Cabinet, passing a resolution in the Assembly and sending it to Centre for only indicate that you are treading on the path of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar who strove for reservations to the depressed classes, Mudragada commented.
In this context, venting his anger at AP CM Naidu, he said, “one should respect the voters who trusted the leader. No one should resort to cruel means like filing illegal cases and abusing when people ask to fulfil the promises. It’s not posts- properties and lives that are permanent, it’s the name and prestige that are eternal,” he observed. He also suggested that politicians should try to conduct elections without spending money and liquor. He commended KCR for being the first Chief Minister of the country, who fulfilled the promises made during the election campaign. He suggested that KCR should earn fame for conducting elections without spending money. Congratulating KCR, Mudragada made many suggestions too.
