Missing Indian Student Found Dead In The US
New York: An Indian student who went missing on Wednesday was found dead on Friday in New York. Aalaap Narasipura, 20, who was supposed to graduate early this December, was a senior electrical engineering student at Cornell’s College.
The police recovered the body near Ithaca Falls. Cornell University Police, working with the New York State Police found his body on Friday from Fall Creek, a short distance upstream from Ithaca Falls, New York.
The Cornell University Police, who confirmed Narasipura’s identity, ruled out any foul play. They said the circumstances in which the death occurred are being investigated.
As Narasipura was not found in the premises of the university, police searched gorges and adjacent natural areas of Ithaca. He was last seen on Wednesday morning on Cornell’s campus. The authorities have issued an advisory describing Narasipura as a dark-skinned male, 5-feet-9 inches tall.
Meanwhile, the vice president for student and campus life, Ryan Lombardi, condoled the death of Narsipura. He described him as an ambitious student who was scheduled to graduate early this December. He planned to continue at Cornell to pursue a master’s degree, he added.
