Maoist Killed In Encounter In AoB

A Maoist leader was reported to have been killed in police firing in the wee hours of Saturday across Andhra-Odisha border (AoB).

Visakhapatnam: A Maoist leader was reported to have been killed in police firing in the wee hours of Saturday across Andhra-Odisha border (AoB). The District Voluntary Force (DVF), an anti-naxal police wing of the Odisha State government, stumbled upon an armed Maoist squad when the police were on search operation in the forests of Kappatotti in the Chitrakonda police station limits. In the crossfire that ensued, one Chinnabbai, a commander of the Maoist armed squad of the AoB division reported to have been killed. According to reports from Odisha, the body of the deceased was sent to the district headquarters Malkangiri for post-mortem and for other proceedings.
