Many Union ministers have black money: Ponnam

Hyderabad: Alleging that many Union Cabinet Ministers were black money holders, former MP Ponnam Prabhakar has questioned Union I&B Minister M Venkaiah Naidu to tell as to how the latter had got hundreds of crores of rupees to his Swarna Bharathi Trust.

Speaking to the media here on Thursday at Gandhi Bhavan, Ponnam asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to tell as to why he was not speaking about the black money Venkaiah Naidu has. He also asked the Centre to tell as to how many Union ministers and state ministers were using mobile phones for money transactions. What was the logic behind Modi for not speaking on demonetisation issue in Parliament, he asked and alleged that Modi was looking down upon common people as dacoits.

It was not proper to the Prime Minister to suggest to the people to do cashless transactions without estimating as to how many people had the knowledge of doing cashless transactions in the country.

Ponnam also asked whether Telangana State Finance Minister Etela Rajender has the knowledge of doing cashless transactions. “Whether Etela was using credit card or not?”, he questioned.  He also alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was behaving like a ‘doodoo basavanna’ (bull) and thinking in a manner that he didn’t bother even people stand in queues before the banks and ATM centers. The people have a doubt that the TRS may merge with the BJP.

He alleged that the common people were not in a position to perform marriages due to demonetisation effect but the BJP leaders were performing marriages by spending hundreds of crores of rupees. Modi got a credit of making the people to stand before the banks and ATMs for days to take their hard earned money.

Oppn backing black money hoarders: Venkaiah Naidu

Taking a dig at Congress and its leader Rahul Gandhi, Naidu said, “It was unfortunate that they are supporting black money hoarders and that was the reason opposition parties are organizing black day. -NSS
