Komatireddy’s plea to release NSP water
Hyderabad: Nalgonda Congress MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy demanded that the State government release Nagarjunasagar water to Nalgonda district for irrigation purposes.
Speaking at the Assembly media point here on Saturday, he asked the State government to release water to Mahbubnagar, Nalgonda and Khammam districts even though the water level reaches dead storage level in Srisailam project.
He further alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was least bothered even as his AP counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu had taken away Srisailam water to Rayalaseema. He urged KCR to establish a Medical College in Nalgonda district headquarters.
Stating that “Bahubali” mania gripped the minds of people in the State, CLP leader K Jana Reddy might have spoken about Bahubali, Venkat Reddy said adding that Jana Reddy or any other leader may become “Bahubali” to ensure victory of the Congress in the 2019 elections. (NSS)
