Kodandram decries new house for KCR
Hyderabad: In a startling remark against Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and the TRS government, Telangana Political Joint Action Committee (JAC) chairman Prof. M. Kodandram said, “he (CM) does not need a new residence as there are many government buildings. Instead of choosing one among them, it’s not proper (on his part) to waste people’s money.” Speaking to the media here, on Monday, Prof. Kodandram said though construction of new residence for the Chief Minister was completed within a year, the construction work for providing housing facilities to poor was not taken up yet. He also said, it seems the state government is averse to look into problems of farmers in the present circumstances.
Opposition spewing venom on camp office: TRS
Meanwhile, TRS leader P Rajeshwar Reddy has slammed the opposition for spewing venom on the state government and its schemes. He refuted comments of Telugu Desam that the TRS government spent Rs 300 crores for constructing camp office with 150 rooms for Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
Talking to media persons in Hyderabad on Monday, the TRS leader sought to know whether the TDP can show proof for their comments on the CMO’s new buildings constructed to cater to future needs. The state government spent only Rs 35 crores for the new camp-cum-residential complex, which does not belong to KCR but for future needs of people for the next 150 years, he said. “The TDP is aware that camp offices in other states were built by spending more funds. The new CMO is for resolving the people’s issues and for better governance”, Rajeshwar Reddy asserted.
He also said the state government was giving priority to irrigation sector. The Chief Minister was taking steps to see that there was no adverse impact of demonetization on the projects taken up, the MLC said. The State government will complete all the projects to ensure water for one crore acres in five years, he claimed.
