At a time when ‘Baahubali-The conclusion’ is still drawing big crowds in many theatres, yet another Telugu movie has been doing well at the box office. The movie, “Keshava”- relatively a far low-budget one, has yielded good result by grossing an impressive Rs 11.5 crore in its opening weekend worldwide.

According to a statement released by the movie-makers, the Nikhil Siddhartha-starrer revenge drama is a huge success in the Telugu states as well as Karnataka and Kerala. It has also done well in the US.

The film, made on the lines of “Badlapur” and “Payback”, is the story of a guy who wants to avenge the death of his parents, but with a twist. It is directed by Sudheer Varma. Nikhil and Sudheer reunited for the project after the 2013 Telugu crime-comedy “Swamy Ra Ra”.

The film’s protagonist suffers from a rare medical disorder, Dextrocardia, which means his heart is on the right side of his body.

“The character is that I can’t get excited or angry or even emotional. It will affect my heart. I had to hold this thought and act accordingly. It wasn’t easy because it made me feel like a different person altogether” Nikhil said.

Ritu Varma, Vennela Kishore and Priyadarshi Pullikonda are the other main leads in the movie.
