KCR’s Thanksgiving At Tirumala
- Presents Ornaments To Lord Balaji
Tirupati: Telangana State Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao (KCR) and his family had given costly gold ornaments they brought from Hyderabad to Lord Balaji and goddess Padmavati on Wednesday. KCR, wife Sobha were accompanied by their son K Taraka Rama Rao and daughter Kavitha along with their spouses and children. Minister for Major Irrigation and CM’s nephew T Harish Rao and many other Cabinet colleagues were with the chief minister.
KCR has, in a gesture of thanksgiving, donated a salagramaharam costing Rs 5 crore to Lord Venkateswara. He also gave a nose stud weighing 47 grams to Padmavati ammavaaru at Tiruchanur. Manikanthikaku and many other items were presented to Lord Balaji.
TTD chairman Chadalavada Krishna murthy and CEO Sambasiva Rao and minister Bojjala Krishna Reddy were with the TS CM during this time.
There was criticism in social media and English TV channel have criticised the gesture by the chief minister at the cost of the exchequer. Earlier, KCR had given away gold ornaments to Bhadrakali at Warangal and Kanaka Durga at Indrakeeladri in Vijayawada.
Answering questions from media persons, KCR reaffirmed that people of the two Telugu States would live in peace and harmony and set an example for other States in the country.
