KCR Tries To Dilute The Drugs Case: Congress Leader Ponguleti
Hyderabad: Taking objection to the Telangana Chief Minister’s statement that those who do drugs would be considered victims, Congress leader Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy demanded stringent punishment for all those involved in the case.
Saying that news about the involvement of a top hero in the drugs case is doing rounds in social media, he demanded that the name should be revealed. Anyone who does drugs and supply drugs is guilty, he added.
Considering all cine celebrities as victims is nothing but diluting the case, Ponguleti alleged.
The drug mafia should be treated on par with terrorists, he stated. He demanded an explanation over the speculations about the interference of top actors in drugs case and also asked for names of the schools where children used drugs.
Later, shifting the topic to his party activities, he said, “Changing Digvijay Singh as Congress Telangana in-charge is part of our internal affairs. High command knows where to place people and changes will take place according to needs,” he said.
Also, alleging that a big scandal took place in AOB Bank Sattupally branch in Khammam district while distributing loans to farmers, he demanded an enquiry into it headed by an IAS officer.
