KCR to visit Kuravi temple on Feb 24, to offer gold moustaches to Lord
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is to present “golden moustaches” to Veerabhadra Swamy Temple at Kuravi in Warangal district on February 24. During Statehood movement, KCR had visited this temple and offered to present golden moustaches to the presiding deity if Telangana statehood is achieved.
Dornakal MLA Redya Naik, his daughter and former MLA Kavitha called on the Chief Minister at Pragathi Bhavan here on Wednesday and invited him to Veerabhadra Swamy Kalyana Utsavalu on February 24. Later, Redya Naik told media persons that KCR had agreed to attend the Utsavalu and present golden moustaches to the deity. It may be mentioned that the Chief Minister had offered some gold ornaments to Lord Venkateshwara at Tirumala and golden crown to Goddess Bhadrakali in Warngal in recent times.
The MLA said that the Chief Minister will address a public meeting after visiting the temple at 10 am. The TRS leadership in the district is making arrangements for a public meeting during the Chief Minister’s visit. Leaders and people of the area are expecting that KCR will dole out some sops to the area on the occasion. –NSS
