KCR rewards loyalist Sudarshan Reddy
Takes office as Civil Supplies chairman
Hyderabad: In what is called a rich dividend to his loyalists, TRS boss and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has nominated Peddi Sudarshan Reddy as Chairman of Civil Supplies Corporation.
He took oath of office at Secretariat in Hyderabad on Saturday. Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari felicitated him with a shawl while Ministers T Harish Rao, E Rajender, G Jagadish Reddy, A Chandulal, T Nageshwar Rao, A Indrakaran Reddy, MPs K Kavitha, Vinodkumar, Suman and Captain Lakshmikantha Rao and Commissioner CV Anand and others were present at the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Kavitha said Sudarshan Reddy has got recognition to his services to the party since inception. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is aware of sincerity of the leaders, who strove for its success, she noted.
Srihari said Sudarshan Reddy has been a committed leader in Warangal district and campaigned among the people for the statehood movement. The chairmanship of the key department will help serve the best, he said.
Eatala Rajender, who holds the Civil Supplies portfolio, recalled that Peddi Sudarshan Reddy had played a key role in the statehood movement. He hoped that the Civil Supplies chairman will perform his duties with utmost care and cater to the needs of the people relying on essential commodities through ration shops.
