KCR returns post-haste from farm house
Hyderabad: Telangana State Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) had to return from his farm house post-haste after receiving intelligence alert on Tuesday evening.
He went to his farm house at about 4 pm and came back to his residence in Hyderabad by 7 pm. Reliable sources said that the CM was alerted by the intelligence officials not to stay at the farm house which is at Jagadevpur village in Siddipet district where providing security would be a challenge. The recent killings of SIMI (Student Islamic Movement of India) activists near Bhopal and Maoists at Andhra-Odisha Border (AOB) created an atmosphere of insecurity with the ultras threatening to take revenge.
SIMI activists are present in significant numbers in Telangana and there were some incidents in which two persons were killed. Though Telangana is relatively free from Maoist activities, their presence is there and they are in a position to attack their targets. That was perhaps the reason why the intelligence officials had advised the CM to get back to the city.
