KCR, Naidu greet Governor as he turns 70
Hyderabad: Governor of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana ESL Narasimhan celebrated his birthday on turning 70 Friday.
Chief Ministers of both Telugu States Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao and a host of dignitaries, officials and non-officials, called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan and greeted him with bouquets and garlands. KCR, along with the Speaker of the Assembly and Chairman of the Council and his cabinet colleagues, MPs and legislators called on the Governor and conveyed greetings and best wishes to him.
The Governor flanked by his wife Vimala Narasimhan and KCR told the TRS leaders though he had been celebrating his birthday for many years, this was the most memorable one which he would remember forever. He was overwhelmed to see the entire TRS government coming to greet him and felt that the entire Telangana State has come to greet him.
Earlier in the morning, AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu also visited Raj Bhavan and greeted the Governor by presenting a bouquet and a shawl. He also offered a piece of cake to Narasimhan, who, in turn, also gave a piece to the CM.
Responding to the greetings, the Governor said: “For the past 29 months two days, I have been closely observing the functioning of the Government. You are doing an excellent job and your contribution for the progress of the State is marvelous. I can feel the confidence in your faces. Under the leadership of KCR, I strongly believe that the State will further progress.”
Addressing all those who greeted him, the Governor appealed to them to lend their contribution for the State to make further strides. “As the first Governor of this State I wish all the best for Telangana”, he stated.
