KCR move against corruption lauded
- Greedy officials harassing people, says forum
Hyderabad, January 12: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was hailed for his commitment and sincerity to ensure clean administration by nipping in the bud corruption at all levels with his novel idea of providing a toll-free telephone number to complain to him directly about any official demanding a bribe.
While lauding the gesture of the chief minister to protect harassment of common man from greedy officials for performing legitimate official work, Chairman Konda Lakshma Reddy and Genetral Secretary Mohd. Raheemullah Khan Niyazi of “Forum to Support KCR” observed that with this unique method of keeping track of corrupt officials at all levels would go a long way in providing the much-needed relief to the people, especially the poor from the villages, who could not get any work done without greasing the palms of concerned officials.
The Forum leaders at the same time cautioned the people not to misuse the toll-free telephone number to grind axe against any official for personal reasons but to use the facility if genuinely face harassment in getting their official work done. This unique method of rooting out corruption and freeing the people from the clutches of the corrupt officials would definitely usher in a “Swatch Telangana”, a first of its kind in the country, they observed.
Referring to the four-day stay of KCR in Warangal district to personally address various issues confronted by the people, chalk out numerous welfare and developmental plans, Lakshma Reddy and Niyazi pointed out that no Chief Minister in the past had devoted so many days in a district to sort out the issues faced by the people, specially the poor and slum dwellers,. This has definitely brought a ray of hope in the lives of the poor besides infusing a sense of confidence among that this government was for the poor and down trodden, they observed.
The Forum leaders further said that the grandiose plans announced by the Chief Minister to develop a textile and industrial hub in the district besides developing Warangal City into a smart city with modern markets for vegetables, fruits, meat and fruits, widening roads, creating play grounds and parks with all facilities, widening and expanding the roads, modern buildings for health university, upgradation of MGM hospital etc would definitely make the erstwhile capital of Kakatiya rulers into a second capital of modern Telangana State under the TRS regime. All these once again reinforces our feeling that KCR truly deserves to be honoured with “Great Statesman and Achiever” Award, they asserted. (NSS).
