KCR Hoists Flag At Golconda Fort; Says Government Was Working For Equality And Social Justice
Hyderabad: The Chief Minister of Telangana K Chandrashekar Rao unfurled the national flag from Rani Mahal in historic Golconda Fort on the occasion of 71st Independence Day.
Speaking on this occasion, the chief minister said that Telangana occupies the first place in the country with regard to economic growth rate. He claimed that the government schemes are not only being lauded, but have also become to ideal to the other states. He said that progress has been made possible because of the economic discipline.
The government is working with commitment to alleviate poverty in the state, he observed. He promised that new power generation centers would be established to increase the power generation capacity. He told that they have been fighting against drugs and would eliminate drug peddling in the state.
Mission Bhageeratha was taken up with an aim to provide drinking water to every household in the state, he said. He lauded the ‘She’ teams, which have been formed to protect women, are working efficiently.
Rao also spoke about various schemes like Kalyana Lakshmi and others. KCR said that the government is formulating a plan to achieve equality and social justice.
The chief minister reviewed a parade by contingents of Telangana State Special Police, State Armed Reserve and City Armed Reserve. The only difference this year happens to be a lack of tableaux like earlier.
