KCR discusses power projects with Piyush
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who is in the national capital on Sunday, called on Union Power Minister Piyush Goel and discussed on power projects and financial assistance.
Besides seeking timely allocations of funds and permissions for various power projects, the Chief Minister discussed with the Union minister about technical aspects of Bhadradri Thermal Power Plant. KCR also urged the Union Power Minister to implement various Central schemes in the infant State.
It may be mentioned here that the Telangana Chief Minister on Saturday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and discussed about financial implications after scrapping of high denomination notes and sought moratorium on taxes to be paid to the Centre and sought exemption to old age and farmers to make use of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes in villages and markets.
KCR also urged the Modi government to call a meeting of chief ministers of all the States on the controversial scrapping of big notes as people are displeased with demonetization and demand that the Centre rollback its demonetization decision. He also urged the Prime Minister to ensure adequate supply of new Rs 500 notes besides pumping in Rs 50 and Rs 20 in ATMs.
