Katamarayaudu: Cine goers move court against hike in price of tickets
Hyderabad: All India Cine Goers Association on Tuesday took a serious exception to the huge hike in the rates of tickets of Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s “Katamarayudu”.
Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, association president GL Narasimha Rao, Telangana unit president Anand and others accused the cine producer of steeply hiking the ticket rates with an intention to join the Rs 100 crore club and depriving the movie to the common cine goers.
They further alleged that cine producer raised the Rs 10 ticket to Rs 50, Rs 50 ticket to Rs 200 and Rs 150 ticket to Rs 500 to achieve the target of collecting Rs 30 crore in two or three days. The Cine Goers Association charged Pawan Kalyan with blackmailing the government and looting the common public. They also alleged that in the name of benefit shows, one ticket was sold from Rs 2,000 to Rs 5,000.
Stating that they have already filed a case in the court against fleecing the cine goers, the association leaders said they were getting ready to fight the atrocity of the film producer. (NSS)
