Job, EPF pension services through post offices
- Dattatreya signs MoU with Hyderabad PO
Hyderabad: Post Offices will offer two more services — employment registration through National Career Service and Jeevan Pamaan facility through digital life certificates with Aadhaar link –to pensioners of EPFO.
Union Labour & Employment Minister Bandaru Dattatreya signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Chief Post Master General Elisha at Abids Head Post Office to this effect on Sunday.
Dattatreya said the post offices working as facility centers are going to offer people better services. Advising the rural youth not to fall prey to middlemen over job offers, he asked them to register online through NCS portal and also offline for various job opportunities. Advent of technology has helped to reduce corruption and it is time for transparent services.
Dattatreya expressed the hope that the NCS portal will prove handy for the youth who can make use of it for jobs and employment opportunities. “Our Government has already entrusted them to offer banking services and also passport services”, he claimed.
Postal wing Secretary BV Sudhakar said NCS will be expanded to 95 head post offices and to other areas in future. –NSS
