JC Flays Jagan, Pats Naidu

Speaking in Pamidi on Thursday, JC Diwakar Reddy tried to justify his act of joining TDP. He explained to people since he did not find a better alternative in the State, he joined the ruling party

Anantapur: Rayalaseema senior leader JC Diwakar Reddy made sensational remarks on Thursday. While criticising YSRCP, he tried to justify his decision to join the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). He openly admitted that he joined TDP as there was no better alternative in the State. He said that he did not join YSRCP because he was not confident of Jagan’s abilities. “He is not fit for politics,” he observed. And Congress lost its charisma and is in internal strife, so I chose TDP, he explained.

“All those who want to realise their dreams must vote for Chandrababu Naidu next time also,” he suggested. He was speaking at ‘Niru-Miru’ programme held at Pamidi in Anantapur district on Thursday.

Accepting that he too has a bit of feeling for caste, he said that he is not the kind of a person, who hates other castes. “Even I want to be on Jagan’s side. But what can he do? He is just a ‘vedhava’ (stupid). I’m sorry, maybe I shouldn’t use such words, I withdraw it. Since Jagan is inefficient and there is no efficient leader around, under unavoidable circumstances I joined TDP. Amongst all the leaders, it is Naidu who has the ability to develop the State. Hence I joined his party.” he said.

However, he questioned how Naidu would be able to complete Polavaram by 2019. Reminding that a machine was destroyed after spending Rs. 80 crores and it would take three or four months to replace it, he talked about the losses and delays. The fact is that Naidu’s goals are big and good. We need to vote for him for our sake and for the sake of our children, Diwakar Reddy Reddy said.

Ananthapur, Kurnool left in the lurch: JC

Hyderabad: In what is seen as a startling revelation, Telugu Desam MP JC Diwakar Reddy has poured out his heart, saying   that it would have been better if the Rayalaseema districts of Ananthapur and Kurnool were merged into Telangana State during bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. Diwakar Reddy who represents Ananthapur visited the Telangana Assembly here on Wednesday and expressed his dismay at the loss being suffered by the two districts in irrigation sector.

He interacted with Finance Minister E Rajender for some time and spoke on the issue. Rajender in turn asked him whether the two districts are getting waters from Srisailam project. To this, Diwakar Reddy said that if  the two districts were included in Telangana, he would have asked Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to give them  water for irrigation, and  would have  questioned  KCR whether they  did not belong to Telangana.

Diwakar Reddy deplored that bifurcation of the State has left the in the lurch. He said that the two districts have adversely suffered due to bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. Development of the districts is relying on the mercy of chief ministers, he bemoaned. Diwakar Reddy also met his former colleague and opposition leader K Jana Reddy and shared similar views. –NSS
