Jayalalithaa To Be Moved Out Of CCU

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa is likely to be shifted out of the critical care unit (CCU) in three days since there has been a marked improvement in her condition, according a report published in The Hindu on Friday. Quoting informed sources, the newspaper said that the CM would be moved to a private room which is being prepared for her in Apollo hospital. If everything goes as per the plans, Jayalalithaa may be discharged in a matter of three weeks.
A team of 15 specialists including cardiologists, a pulmonologist, intensivists, infectious disease specialists and a nephrologist could successfully arrive at a method to stop the leakage of mitral valve leading to fluid collection in the lungs by correctly calibrating the drug dosage. The infection has been treated completely resulting in steady improvement in her health condition. In third week of October, the CM was taken off from day-time sedation and she has been conscious since then noting down her own menu on a piece of paper. She is eating her food without having to feed through a tube.
In order to help rehabilitation, physiotherapy is being continued which was started a month after she was admitted into the hospital on 22 September 2016. The Apollo Hospitals management might issue a health bulletin in a couple of days, the sourced informed.
