Is Jana Sena Actively Pursuing Political Activity?

The Jana Sena Party headed by actor-turned politician Pawan Kalyan seems to have started preparations for the Assembly elections. According to information on the grapevine, one seat has already been confirmed to a former MLA.

Amaravati: Though the actor-turned politician and chief of Jana Sena Party Pawan Kalyan has declared that he would join active politics only after six months, the political activity seems to have begun already.

As per reports, a ticket to contest from Jana Sena was confirmed to former MLA Anna Rambabu. Rambabu represented Giddaluru constituency and has resigned from Telugu Desam party recently.

Rumours were rife that in the recent meeting between AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan, the issue of sharing of seats was discussed.

Though the details were not leaked, it was speculated that Naidu and Pawan came to an assessment about who should contest from where. According to sources, Janasena would retain Giddaluru.

Rambabu resigned after he was given the details. He is all set for the preparations. In fact, he is more associated with the mega family. In the last elections, Rambabu won from Giddaluru as MLA on Praja Rajyam ticket. After its merger with the Congress, he joined the Congress. But again before the elections, he joined the Telugu Desam Party and contested on its ticket. But he could not win on the ticket.

The YSRCP bagged this seat. Ashok Reddy, who won on the YSRCP ticket, later crossed the floor and joined the TDP. As differences between both the leaders thickened, Rambabu suspected that he might not even get a ticket if he remained in the Telugu Desam and joined the Jana Sena.
